Quality issues are pervasive in the organization

I need an independent assessment on the root cause of quality issues.   After all we are an CMMi level 5 organization.

We have quality but I am sure we can be more productive.

Are we following our own best practices?

FCG partners are all former CTO’s that led high quality organizations and one of our partners is a CMMi certified assessor

I need to transform my organization

My team needs to look at things differently.  We are looking to use IT as a competitive advantage and doing things the same way isn’t cutting it.    Every solution is “built” rather than “bought” and when we build there is little to no reuse.

We need to modernize our solutions.  Our applications need to have a lower cost of ownership and need to run on mobile platforms.  Our infrastructure team does not have adequate tools.

FCG partners are all former EDS and HP Fellows known for out of the box thinking as well as been involved in multiple modernization activities.

I need help with M&A and legal issues

We are looking at acquiring another company.  I need someone with broad technical experience to work with our strategy team in evaluating potential acquisition targets.

It is going to be a challenge integrating the acquired company into our firm.  I need help on personnel decisions, technical integration and I need to do this quickly.

We are involved in a lawsuit.  I would like an independent technical assessment that might be needed in court.

FCG partners  who have done a number of M&A activities including large and business critical acquisitions and are also experienced with legal issues

Quality, Productivity and Innovation Services

Quality, Productivity and Innovation Services

Delivering services whether it is software development / maintenance or infrastructure needs to carefully balance quality with productivity and innovation.  We often find that when organizations only look at one of these three areas that other areas suffer.

As former CTO’s responsible for technical delivery we spent much of our time reviewing our teams’ structure, talent and performance and as a result have developed a keen eye in spotting deficiencies followed by plans to grow the teams.

FCG often finds that because an organization is rated at certain CMMi level or has implemented ITIL it doesn’t necessarily mean that they are really operating as efficiently as possible.  We dig deep into the organization to find the true operating performance capability and recommend good-fit improvements.

Also, as former EDS /HP Fellows we were focused on innovation.  We often reviewed projects,  assisted with proposals, and challenged the teams to look at the big picture and solve the problem at hand from an innovative perspective.

FCG can assist with the following:

  • Conduct detailed process assessments using CMMi, ITIL and other best practice models and compliance standards.
  • Participate in RFPs reviews and identify innovative solutions
  • Enhance key processes for productivity
  • Establish an innovation program
  • Embedding innovation into the technical job family
  • Sponsoring joint innovation programs with major IT vendors
Assessment and Remediation Services

Assessment and Remediation Services
